EASTER TRIDUUM – Thursday, April 9th – Saturday, April 11th
The greatest Liturgies of the Church’s year are celebrated during the Easter Triduum. On Holy Thursday, April 9th we gather at 7:00 pm to recall the moment Jesus established the Priesthood and instituted the Eucharist. Following Mass, we process the Blessed Sacrament through the church and place the Lord in a special shrine where He is adored until 12 Midnight. On Good Friday, April 10th, we gather for Stations of the Cross at 3:00 pm—the exact moment Jesus died. At 7:00 pm, we gather to celebrate the Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion, which includes the communal proclamation of Our Lord’s Passion, the Veneration of the Cross and a Communion Service. On Holy Saturday, April 11th, we gather at 7:30 pm to celebrate the greatest Liturgy of the Church’s year—the Easter Vigil. We begin in darkness and light the Paschal Candle—the sign of the Risen Christ. Then, the whole church becomes awash with light as individual candles are lit from the Paschal Candle. Following three readings from the Old Testament, every light is turned on and the Gloria is sung for the first time since Ash Wednesday. The entire Mass basks in the glory of Christ’s Resurrection and we are overwhelmed with joy. On Easter Sunday, the celebration of the Resurrection continues with Masses at 7:30am, 9:30am and 11:30am. Please join us for these magnificent, life-changing liturgies that commemorate all that Jesus did to save us.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS – Fridays at 7:00 pm
Come every Lenten Friday at 7:00 pm to “walk with the Lord to Calvary.” Meditations from Sacred Scripture with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament help us to remember the sacrifice and love shown for us by our Lord, Jesus Christ.
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – Fri., March 6th & Fri., April 3rd
On the First Friday of every month, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed at 12:30 pm (following the 12 Noon Mass) until 7:00 pm. At 7:00 pm, we come together during Lent to pray the Stations of the Cross, followed by Benediction. Come spend an hour before the loving heart of Jesus, our Savior.
OPERATION RICE BOWL – Palm Sunday – April 4th / 5th
At the doors of the Church you will find the Rice Bowls ready to be assembled and filled. Place the RICE BOWLin a prominent place in your home and drop money in it every time you pass by. On Palm Sunday Weekend, the second collection at Mass will be the RICE BOWL COLLECTION for the poorest in our world.
