Msgr. William Murray Passes Away
For those of you who remember him, Msgr. William Murray entered eternal life this evening (Tuesday) at 6:00 PM. He died in Florida and will be buried here at Immaculate Conception on Saturday at 10:00 AM (Tentative).
Our parish was founded by Fr. Meadows. He arrived in October, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in December, was bed ridden in January and died in March. While he was sick, Msgr. Murray was named as administrator. And when Fr. Meadows died, Msgr. Murray became the pastor. He served the people of Immaculate Conception Parish for sixteen years. He was the one who really took the seed that Father Meadows planted and brought it to fulfillment. He built our Parish Church.
Msgr. Murray was a saintly man who was kind and generous and sensitive. He was a model priest and a living example of faith to all who knew him. While it has been over forty years since Msgr. Murray was at our parish and many do not know him, please keep this good and wonderful servant of God in your prayers.
