Fr. Wilson’s Weekly Address
Dear Parishioners,
Our new school year began last week without a single hitch (including our new “Little Saints” program for 3 year olds!). Our outstanding faculty and staff under the loving care of our principal, Mrs. Rebecca Kelley, got our 348 students settled in and right to work. It’s always good to hear the sound of children laughing and playing! May God bless our new school year with every grace from heaven.
In a special way I welcome all our new students and their families to our school. I’m happy they chose us and know they will feel right at home very quickly! We have just a couple of seats remaining in some of our grades—and a very exciting year ahead of us! If you would like more information or wish to visit and see the wonderful opportunities at Immaculate Conception School, please call Mrs. Kelley at 942- 7245.
CCD classes are scheduled to begin Sunday, September 27th and Monday, September 28th. Classes are filling-up quickly, so please get your registration forms in as soon as possible (forms are available on our parish website). If you have any questions or need any information, please contact Ms. Deanna Marinucci at the Parish Office.
A word of profound thanks to all our CCD teachers who volunteer their valuable time to teach our children. It’s an amazing gift that I know God will greatly bless. This year, I will join their ranks as the teacher of our Confirmation (Grade 10) class. Please say an extra prayer for all of us that the Holy Spirit will work powerfully through us to deepen the faith, hope and love of the children in our classes.
Our next Liturgical Environment Committee Meeting will be Tuesday, September 15th at 6:30 pm in the church. All are welcome!
This Monday, Labor Day, we will have Mass at 8:00 AM in Our Lady’s Chapel. I invite you to join me in thanksgiving to God for the work we have—and to pray for those who are seeking gainful, fulfilling employment. God bless you in the week ahead.
